Yeah. I'm 26, or something like that. I burned the hell out of my right hand last night so it's covered in blisters and second degree burns, but on the bright side, through this I have learned something truly valuable about myself: I can use power tools left-handed. This is awesome beyond my ability to express in written language.

I've had artblock pretty badly. Actually, I've had everything block pretty bad since...well, since the kids died. Everything I try to start just sort of tapers off and turns into nothing, if it even becomes anything to begin with. Just starting them has felt wrong, like something important is missing. Between that and work, I guess it's no wonder that I haven't been as sociable or even around as much to socialize.


But I have a good feeling. Not just because my tarot tells me something's coming up, but because I just have a good feeling. I've always believed that everything is all right in the end, and that good things come out of the bad. Call it my alchemy faggery if you will, but out of the black of melancholia, the things that burn us down, that's where all purification and remaking begins.

I think that when my blisters go down a bit and my hand starts to heal, that I'll start drawing again.

And that this time it will finally go back to feeling right.
